No. 2347, With the Saints We Sing (Poetry)

For All Saints’ Day 2024.

The golden light of Autumn’s glow
falls soft on fields where shadows grow.
This Sacred day, the church bells chime
to honor Saints through every time.

They walked the path both steep and straight
through Trials hard and heavy weight.
With Steadfast hearts, their Faith they bore,
and paved the Way forevermore.

No earthly Crown adorned their heads,
yet heavenly Light around them spread.
They bore the Cross, they ran the race,
and found in God their resting place.

From Martyrs bold to quiet ones,
their Witness shines like setting suns.
Their Prayers and Deeds, though oft unseen,
have shaped the world where we have been.

Today, we join their Song of Grace, —
a Chorus reaching every space.
United now, both near and far,
they shine for us—a guiding star.

O Lord, may we, in work and deed,
be Saints in kind for those in need.
And when this fleeting life has passed,
may we be found with them at last.
