Galatians 3:13, Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us.
Christ broke the curse by becoming a curse. He broke the curse of the Law—the curse of sin and its punishment under the Law—by taking the punishment of the curse upon Himself, thus becoming a curse for you. He took the punishment of your curse—He took the punishment you deserve. What a merciful Saviour! His blood covers your guilt under the curse! Thus, He is worthy of all praise; and we look forward to the day when Christ returns to fully deliver us from the curse, His death and resurrection having spared us from God’s coming wrath.
