Galatians 1:4, [Christ] gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father.
Thus, let us no longer wonder what the will of God is—let us stop all speculations on the hidden God, for we can only know what He has revealed. Is it God’s will for you to take this or that job, to marry this or that person? Decide for yourself with the wisdom and reason He has given you and stop trying to peer into the mind of God, which is hidden from all humans. Rather, look to the Word where His will has been revealed for all time.
Here, God’s will is that Christ willingly gave Himself up for you to cover your sins with His innocent blood, whom God the Father did not spare (Romans 8:32); and this He did to deliver you from evil. Therefore, though the Devil tries to trick you, he is afraid of you, for you have the Holy Spirit who proclaims his destruction. Thus, whatever we do with our lives, God’s will is already done: we live justified, no longer belonging to this evil age, awaiting Christ’s glory to be revealed.
