Proverbs 16:3, Commit your work to the LORD, and your plans will be established.
As stewards of God’s creation, God has given each of us various vocations in which we must dutifully fulfil. Whether pastor, parent, spouse, friend, employee, all vocations are pleasing to God so long as they are done in faith, for without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). Thus, the mother who fears God and breast feeds and disciplines her child, God is pleased and blesses the dutiful mother. The janitor who fears God and cleans the spaces for his co-workers, God is pleased and blesses him. And so on. God has seen fit to give each of us skills and talents to care for His creation and serve one another. Let us, therefore, give God our thanks and praise Him by fulfilling our vocational roles dutifully.
