Day 1 of my final semester of seminary at @concordiasem. It’s been a long road since I embarked on this journey when I left the Army in 2013 to pursue the pastoral office. Challenges still remain ahead: continued challenging classes, personal development, and financial struggles. Please pray for me and my fellow brothers in Christ who are in their final semester before certification, graduation, and eventual ordination (Lord willing). For those who fail to understand people who are depressed. (No, I’m not depressed, but I did battle with it for many years. Nevertheless, the demon haunts me every now and then. Christ alone gradually led me toward conquering depression. So, why isn’t Christ mentioned in this poem? Because this isn’t the poem for that.
