A poem on Luke 21:25-36.
The Sun and Moon will show their Signs,
even the Stars as they all shine.
The Seas will roar and Nations ail
as hearts of men begin to fail.
The Son of Man will then appear
on clouds with Power, drawing near.
Lift up your heads—the time is Nigh;
Redemption is coming in the sky!
The Fig Tree speaks with buds that dwell;
its branches bear a tale to tell:
when leaves are budding for the deer,
you know Summer is finally near.
So too, when Signs begin to rise,
know God’s Kingdom is near the skies.
Heaven and Earth will fade away,
but the Word of Christ will forever stay.
Beware the Snares of drunken wiles
and the Weight of Worry’s pile.
Stay Vigilant with hearts sincere
and pray His Coming finds you clear.
For soon the Earth and all its schemes
will pass away like fleeting dreams.
But those who Watch with Faith to sing
will stand before the coming King.
