No. 2433, The Mountain of the Lord (Poetry)

A poem on Isaiah 2:1-5.

In days to come on Mountain high,
the Lord’s own House shall touch the sky.
Exalted o’er the hills below,
to it all Nations soon shall flow.

They’ll say, “Come, let us go up the Mountain
to learn God’s Truth and His Way to walk in.”
From Zion’s Hill, His Law will shine,
and His Word of grand design:

He’ll judge the lands with Wisdom’s care
and rebuke all peoples everywhere.
The swords they wield will melt to plows,
and spears to tools for vines and boughs.

Nations shan’t lift a sword again;
no wars shall rise among all men.
Instead, they’ll seek the Light of the Lord
instead of serving Evil’s horde.

O House of Jacob, come and see
the Path of Life where you are free.
Walk in the Lightโ€”the Lord’s own Grace, โ€”
and find your Rest within His Palace.
