No. 2432, The Incarnation of God the Son (Poetry)

A poem on John 1:1-18.

In the beginning was the Word,
with God and of God before He was heard.
Through Him, all things were brought to be:
the Earth, the stars, the sky, the sea.

In Him was Life—a Light so pure;
even Darkness cannot endure.
The Light shines bright, the Shadows flee,
but men refused His clarity.

A man named John was sent to say,
“The true Light comes to guide your way.”
He came to the world and His own,
but they rejected what was shown.

To those who saw and did Believe,
He gave the right for them to be
God’s holy Children, born anew,
not of the Flesh, but Spirit true.

The Word became both Flesh and Grace, —
a Tabernacle to us face to face.
We saw His glory, full and Bright, —
of Grace and Truth, God’s own Light.

Through Moses came the Law we knew,
but now Christ’s Grace for me and you.
No one has seen the Father’s face
but God the Son in His Embrace.

The Word Eternal—God’s own Breath, —
brings Life that triumphs over Death.
In Him we find the Truth and Way, —
the Light of Dawn, the Hope of Day.
