No. 2417, Patience for Christ’s Advent (Poetry)

A poem on James 5:7-11.

Be Patient, brothers, till the Day
when Christ returns to light the Way.
The farmer waits for rain to fall,
whether early, late, great, or small.

His field requires both Time and Care
for fruit to Ripen, full and fair.
Strengthen your hearts, stand firm, endure;
the Lord’s arrival is nigh and sure.

Do not grumble ‘gainst friend or guest,
for at the Door, the Judge is pressed.
The Prophets stood through Trials long;
their Faith became their steadfast song.

Consider Job, whose Trust remained,
though Loss and Pain his life contained.
The Lord brought Mercy in the End,
Compassion strong and Job’s true Friend.

So wait, as Earth awaits the rain,
through every trial, joy, and pain.
For Patience brings a Crown above
and seals the soul in Steadfast Love.
