A poem on Matthew 24:36-44.

No One can know the Day or Hour,
not even Heaven’s angels’ power.
The Son awaits the Father’s Call
to bring the End, the close of all.
As Noah’s time, so will it be
when people live Unwatchfully.
They eat and drink, wed and play,
Unaware of the Coming Day.
The Flood then came, the waters spread,
and Swept Away the Wicked dead.
So too will come the Son of Man
when least expected by life’s plan.
Two in the field, one taken high,
one left to stand beneath the sky.
Two at the millโone goes, one stays, โ
a sudden End to life’s known ways.
So Watch, for you don’t know the Time
when Christ will come in clouds sublime.
Like Thieves at night who come unknown,
He’ll claim His saintsโHis Kingdom shown.
Be ready, then, for Christ will come
when hearts are still and faith is numb.
The Hour Unknown, the Call so near,
He’ll wake the world with Awe and Fear.
