No. 2413, Hope of the Gentiles (Poetry)

A poem on Romans 15:4-13.

The Scriptures written long ago
were penned so we might learn and grow
in the Hope He promised loud and clear
to dispel any one of our fears.

May He who grants Endurance sure
and grants a Love that is pure
unite your heartsโ€”your voices raise, โ€”
to glorify Father and Son with praise.

Receive one another, just as He
has welcomed you with Grace so free.
For Christ has come, His Mercy shown,
to make God’s Promises our own.

The Gentiles sing with Israel’s song,
their voices joined as a single Throng:
“Rejoice, O Gentiles, in His Name!”
The Earth declares His holy fame.

Isaiah speaks: “A Shoot shall rise
from Jesse’s line beneath our skies.
In Him the Gentiles place their Hope,
a Banner through every trial’s slope.”

May the God of Hope through Faith impart
His Joy and Peace within your heart.
By Spirit’s power, your Hope will grow,
then overfill as a river flows.
