A poem on Isaiah 11:1-10.

From Jesse’s Stem a Shoot shall rise, โ
a Branch of Hope beneath our skies.
The Spirit rests upon His frame
with Wisdom, Power, the Fear of God’s Name.
He’ll judge the Poor with Justice Pure
and make the Lowly in Him secure.
No lies will standโno Wicked gain;
His Breath shall strike where Sins remain.
The Wolf will dwell beside the Lamb,
the Leopard rest beside Goat and Ram.
Children will frolic through fields of play,
even where Cobras and Vipers lay.
Lions will eat what Oxen graze,
no harm to be done in the Lord’s Day.
Earth will be filled with Knowledge of the Lord
just as waters cover from shore to shore.
A Banner raised, the Gentiles call
to God who reigns above us all.
In Him, the Gentiles find their Rest, โ
their Hope in Him forever blest.
