No. 2395, The Branch of Righteousness (Poetry)

A poem on Jeremiah 23:5-8.

Behold, the days are drawing near
when Justice rules and Truth appears.
A Branch will rise—the King foretold, —
to reign with Wisdom strong and bold.

With Righteousness He’ll rule the Earth
with Mercy firm and holy mirth.
For Judah saved, and Israel free,
shall call Him Lord with righteous glee.

“Yahweh our Righteousness” is His name;
it will echo with global acclaim.
No longer will the tale be told
of Egypt’s chains and Wonders old.

But now they’ll speak of greater days
when God Restored His children’s ways.
From lands afar, He brought them back
to fields of green—no good they lack.

So let us wait with Hope Steadfast,
for He will come; His Reign shall last.
The promised King, both Just and True,
will make the Earth and heavens anew.
