No. 2360, The Blessing of Forgiveness (Poetry)

A poem on Psalm 32.

Blessรจd is the one whose sin’s Concealed,
whose Guilt the Lord has Not revealed.
No Guile within, No Shame to bear,
for Mercy meets Confession’s prayer.

When silent, I was crushed with Grief;
my bones wore down without relief.
Your hand was Heavy, day and night;
my strength was Drained; my heart took flight.

But then I spoke, my sins Laid Bare;
I gave them to Your Loving Care.
You pardoned all, my guilt was Gone, โ€”
a time of Peace began to dawn.

Let all who Trust in You draw near
and Pray to You amidst their fears.
Though floods may surge, they’ll not prevail;
Your Steadfast Love will never fail.

You are my Shelter, strong and true;
my songs of Rescue rise to You.
With guiding eye, You show the way,
and teach my steps where I should stay.

Be not like horse or mule untamed,
by bit and bridle harshly framed.
The Wicked face their pain alone,
but Love surrounds where Faith is sown.

Rejoice, O Righteous, in the Lord!
Lift up your heartsโ€”His Name adored!
For Joy belongs to hearts made Pure, โ€”
a blessing Rich and hope Secure.
